Allison Prandl
Clinical Psychologist
BA (Psych) Hons, MPsych (Clinical)
Allison is a registered Clinical Psychologist who has experience in treating adults, adolescents and children.
Allison's approach and therapy style is summarised below:
"I feel that it is important to create a safe, non-judgemental space in order to encourage a strong therapeutic relationship between therapist and client. I believe that therapy should be client centred and therefore I am flexible in my therapeutic approach. I use a variety of therapeutic interventions including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Interpersonal Therapy. I have also undergone advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) which is used to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
I have helped clients who have experienced wide-ranging concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, anger management issues, social difficulties, and children with behavioural issues. I understand that making the decision to attend therapy can be a difficult one, and it is my aim to support and guide my clients through a rewarding therapeutic experience".
